Moira Trotter (MT) talks about her time as a WRVS volunteer and employee in Elgin, Moray, Scotland 1974 to 2014. Most of MT's volunteering has taken place at Dr. Gray's Hospital, Elgin in the Shop, canteen and trolley shop. Comments on being a volunteer shop assistant and shop manager until 2000 and the transition to becoming a paid manager as well as the changes to the hospital shop and canteen over the years. MT mentions her work with Meals-on-Wheels (MOW), Emergency Services (ES) and administrative work in the District Office. Talks about her time as a paid hospital manger 2000-2006 and then the transition back to a volunteer. MT also discusses the changes to WRVS in 1990s and becoming Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) in 2013. The narrative concludes with MT's views on the current situation and the future of the organisation.
