The
WVS/WRVS/RVS is the largest voluntary organisation in British history,
at its height boasting over one million members. For the past 80 years
Royal Voluntary Service has been a pioneer in social welfare, aiding
civilians during the Second World War and helping to develop the modern
welfare state in the post war years. Today Royal Voluntary Service is
striving to meet the most pressing needs of the day in our communities
and NHS through the power of volunteering.
